Let it Be

Sunday was our second day in London.  Charlotte and I had breakfast at the hotel again and enjoyed talking with another American Couple from Pittsburg.  After breakfast Lyle and Marlene came over and we finalized plans.  We decided on matinee play and then a day trip to Stonehenge and Bath.

We then took a “black cab” to Leicester Square to find discount theater tickets.  Our first choice “liolo” a drama was not available and we settled on “Let it Be” a Beatle musical tribute.  The tickets were 32 l for the upper balcony.  Marlene and Lyle ate breakfast and Charlotte and I walked around.  Finally with over two hours to go we started walking to the theater.  We did make a stop at the National portrait gallery but still had some time to kill.  We
 making plans
 At National Portrait Galley
The Savoy Hotel Entrance
Asking for help parking the Bentley
 Two time Bella Italia Diners
We loved out gluten free pizza well the wine and the beer anyway....
This is when we found the theater.

toured the Savoy Hotel next to the theater and Charlotte and I walked a bit while Lyle and Marlene stuck closer.

At 2 PM we entered the theater and had a drink before the play and were advised that we could get an upgrade of our tickets.  So we ended up in the Dress Circle or first balcony.  The performance was good about 50 songs roughly in chronologically order that they were released by the Beatles.  There was lots of audience interaction of dancing and waving of hands (well many a couple of times for us) and the finale was “Hey Jude” finishing the performance after 2 ½ hours.  We enjoyed it and decided to have dinner eating at another location of the same Italian restaurant that the Snow’s had breakfast.  Charlotte and I enjoyed a gluten free pizza.  Then it was another cab ride home getting here at about 7 PM.
So I just added photos and there are not quite right but they are of today.  So I will let it be.....
Tomorrow another full day starting at 7 AM with tour bus arriving at 7:55PM
