ATL Sky Club

Well we are off on another adventure for 20 days.  We left the island at 7:30 AM it was raining.  We had permission to park at Ice House in Wilmington and had a nice taxi ride to ILM.  Leaving on time we arrived in Atlanta at 11:30 AM.

Since our next flight leaves at 5:53 to London we had to find a good place to hang out.  We were able to get a "special" on a day pass to the new sky club in Terminal F-the international terminal.  Speer suggested another blog so with free internet free rum and coke (and a merlot for Charlotte) we will start the process.

Last fall our travel mates my sister Marlene and her husband Lyle Snow wanted to know where were going next?  You will recall that we did the Mediterranean in 2009 and in 2010 Alaska.  We decided on a Baltic adventure.  Selected a time frame to fit our best schedule and then a cruise line.  We settled on a Carnival Cruise out of Dover to St. Petersburg and return starting on August 20th.  Then I suggested adding a few days in London and a few days in Paris since we were in the area and Charlotte and I had never been to either city.

So we are off to London arriving in the morning.  We will be staying at the Double Tree but Lyle and Marlene were not able to book there and will be arriving later and staying at another hotel.

Here is the broad schedule whoops I just remembered that is in the checked suitcase so you will just have to check back to see what we do.

Our day so far has been great with avoiding all luggage charges for four suitcases and for scoring a comfortable lounge where I can watch live CNN and blog.  The news today is about the government crack down yesterday on the camps of Morsi supporters in Egypt.

Even though it was raining when we arrived the outdoor club area is open and we look out the large window at a dry tarmac with lots of Delta activity with an overcast sky.

I will take a picture and see if I can upload it to the blog.  I have a iphone this time so photos may be easier than several years ago.

Anyway the adventure has begun
